New Holland Combine Harvester
The American company, New Holland, released the first ever axial combine harvester with axial thresher and separation tool in 1957. This means that the threshing happens in the front part of the harvester and the separation in the back part of the combine harvester. Before this, New Holland took over a Belgian manufacturer of combine harvesters which enabled them to make such machinery themselves. New Holland have currently 5 different series which are on the market. They range from 170 to 570 PS. The longest grain cutting-tool in the New Holland combine harvester range has a total length of 10.67m. In 2008 a New Holland combine harvester even managed to break a world record for managing to harvest an impressive 551.6t of winter wheat from an area measuring 53.5 ha and all that in 8 hours. The top performance of the CR9090 model is around 77.3t per hour.
